Churki tries to matchmake Hammond with a local Lithuanian girl so he will marry and start having babies.
After the French attack in Dresden Churki met with Temeraire, congratulating him for keeping his army in one piece. They spoke for a bit, and the Incan dragon questioned if it was sensible that Hammond and the Tsar were near danger, specially since they didn't have wives or children of their own, after which she expressed her disapproval since Laurence remained unmarried.
Later, when the war is over, Temeraire receives a letter from Churki, where Churki mentions how big of a family Hammond has and how she is building them a bigger house and also helped to plow their fields since so many young men never returned from the fighting.
